Winter Hike Leader Training
Join us in sharing the beauty of Maybury State Park with others. Our Winter Hike Leader Training equips you with skills to guide hikes and foster appreciation for nature.
The event will start with a short (approx 15 min) talk, followed by a short hike. Potential hike routes include a 1 1/2 mile paved trail, and a 2 mile unpaved trail. Routes may vary due to trail conditions and volunteer availability.
Your leadership helps inspire a love for the outdoors and supports our mission to enhance the public’s experience at Maybury State Park.

Participating in the training doesn’t obligate you to lead a hike. Come to the training and enjoy a walk and opportunity to talk with an experienced volunteer to learn if leading or assisting a leader at a hike is a good fit for you.
