EnChroma Viewfinders

Maybury State Park has two viewfinders equipped with EnChroma lenses that enable those with red-green color blindness to experience a broader spectrum of clear, vibrant, distinct color. People with regular vision who use them will notice that colors will “pop” and appear more vivid. Everyone will experience the same image magnification as with binoculars.

Locations of these viewfinders are:

  • Southeast side of pond on the boardwalk near trail marker #8
  • On the Bluebird Meadow Trail, 100 yards southeast of the park headquarters building

The specially equipped EnChroma Viewfinders were made possible by an anonymous private donation, The Friends of Maybury State Park, and Northville Rotary Foundation.

EnChroma Glasses

In 2026, the park received a generous gift of six EnChroma Glasses that are available to reserve and use while visiting Maybury State Park. There are glasses in both Adult and Children’s sizes. Call the park office to reserve at (248) 349-8390 on weekdays between 8:30am-4:00pm.

Share this information with anyone you know who would benefit from using these EnChroma Viewfinders and Glasses.
