Seven Mile non-motorized entrance update
In January of 2024 the park received an engineering cost estimate for the project and has become aware that additional funds need to be raised for completion. The DNR and Friends of Maybury State Park are fully committed to this community and park enhancement and are exploring private and public funding avenues to complete the project.

Boardwalk renovations

Memberships and donations to the Friends of Maybury State Park help improve the park and help support our local youth organizations. Recent renovations to the pond boardwalk were made possible by several Eagle Scout projects. These were partially funded by the Friends of Maybury State Park.

Maybury Farm Great Fall Festival
October 5-6, 2024
The Friends of Maybury State Park provided volunteers to help with the pumpkin decorating station for Maybury Farm Great Fall Festival. The weather was beautiful and our Schoolcraft College volunteers along with Friends of Maybury State Park volunteers made this very popular station a huge success! Lots of fun was had by both children and adults!
Diversability Day
August 22, 2024
The DNR, Maybury State Park, and The Friends of Maybury State Park coordinated with Oakland County Parks for the first Diversability Day held at a Michigan State Park. Participants were able to try several activities and treated to lunch. By showing what activities are available, word is spreading of the many opportunities available. Thanks to all for working together for this special event! See the photos below! Fun was had by all!
