SUMMARY:Northville Holiday Lighted Parade
DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Maybury will be participating for the 4th year in a row in Northville’s Holiday Lighted parade. \nJoin us on Friday\, November 20th\, in the festivities kicking off the holiday season at the super fun event! \nVolunteers are needed to help us carry our banner and walk with us along the route in the parade.  Dress yourself and “get lit” for the holiday season!  We’ll provide LED lighted foam sticks for participants to carry during the parade.  Children can participate; however\, they MUST be supervised by an adult.  You don’t have to be a member of the Friends of Maybury State Park to participate. \nClick here for details and to participate with us:  Participant: Northville Holiday Lighted Parade

SUMMARY:Owl Prowl Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join the Friends of Maybury State Park as we try to entice resident owls to respond to an artificial call. A 15 minute educational presentation will be given prior to the hike. Space is limited to 120 participants. \nMeet at the Trailhead Building (8 Mile entrance).  Please arrive 20 minutes prior to start time. \nReservations are required.  Participant Link will be available closer to the event. \nRegistration closes Thursday\, December 3\, 2026 \n If you register and find you are unable to attend\, please email at us mayburystateparkfriends@gmail.com  ASAP and no later than Wednesday\, December 2\, 2026\, so someone else is able to participate.  You may also use the Contact Page on our website to cancel/reach us.  Please do not call the park to register or to cancel your registration. \nDue to safety precautions\, we only have a limited number of spots available and we are unable to add more.\nPlease check back to the sign up link as any cancellations will open up spots for additional participants.\nUnfortunately\, a waitlist is not available for this event.  Walk-ins are also not available for this hike.\nA Recreation Passport is required for all vehicles entering the park.  Recreation Passports can be purchased when renewing your license plates\, at any State Park Office during regular office hours (8 am – 4:30 pm)\, or at Maybury Park’s self-serve kiosk located on the right immediately past the entrance booth.  (8 Mile Entrance)  For further information on recreation passes\, visit Recreation Passport
