DESCRIPTION:Join in learning how Maybury State Park became a State Park. \nPrior to being Maybury State Park\, the 944 acres were home to a tuberculosis Sanitorium. \nMeet at the Trailhead building and find out all about Maybury from the very beginning. \nThe Park has 2 Action Track Chairs available on a first come first reserved basis for anyone with mobility challenges.  The Park also has several pairs of EnChroma glasses for those with red-green colorblindness that can used as well.  To reserve either of the above listed for this event\, call the park office at 248-349-8390.  Both are free of charge to use in Maybury State Park. \nClick here to Volunteer for this event:  History Hike Volunteer Sign Up \nThe hike is free\, however\, all vehicles must have a Recreation Passport to enter the park. \nRecreation Passports can be purchased when renewing your license plates\, at any State Park Office during regular office hours (Monday -Friday 8 am – 4:30 pm)\, or at Maybury Park’s self-serve kiosk located on the right immediately past the entrance booth.  (8 Mile Entrance)  For further information on recreation passes\, visit Recreation Passport

DESCRIPTION:Explore Maybury State Park’s trees on a guided hike 🌳 \nJoin the Northville Tree Champions and the Friends of Maybury State Park for a walk through the park as we identify trees. \nRegistration info and additional details will be available closer to the date of this event.  This event has a limited number of participants.  If you register and find you are unable to attend\, please contact us ASAP so someone else is able to attend. \nThe Park has several pairs of EnChroma glasses\, for those with red-green colorblindness\, that can be reserved to use at this event.  To reserve\, call the park office at 248-349-8390.  These are free of charge to use in Maybury State Park. \nHazards: You may encounter uneven surfaces with mud or water. Bugs such as ticks and mosquitos are prevalent. \nWhat to bring: Bug spray\, sunscreen and water. \nWhat to wear: Dress for the weather\, this event is 100% outdoors. Appropriate footwear is essential. You may encounter uneven surfaces with mud or water. Recommend hat and light-colored long pants and shirt. \nWeather Cancelation: Event will happen rain or shine but could be canceled in the event of severe weather. DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Maybury will be participating for the 4th year in a row in Northville’s Holiday Lighted parade. \nJoin us on Friday\, November 2oth\, in the festivities kicking off the holiday season at the super fun event! \nVolunteers are needed to help us carry our banner and walk with us along the route in the parade.  Dress yourself and “get lit” for the holiday season!  We’ll provide some led lighted foam sticks for participants to carry during the parade. \nClick here to participate with us:  Link will be provided closer to the date.
